december first is the easiest of the whole month:
make a paper chain
i got out some paper, cut the strips, and kate helped me put it all together - a great activity for a toddler to help with. i'm really not good at crafting with my kids, so this was more my speed.

i just have to deal with the many requests throughout the day of
"can i rip off a chain?" or "what day is it? is it almost christmas eve?"
