easter 2009

we drove to monroe on saturday night, getting in around 2:30am! kate only slept for about the last 45 minutes. surprisingly, she didn't sleep past 9:30 the next morning and was in a very good mood - i think it was because her cousins were there.

andrew, sarah, jane, and reynolds had been visiting our parents for a few days and we wanted to go for easter so we could see them, hence the last minute driving.

when i went to wake up kate, i found her in her pack & play, standing up & smiling, ready to go!
here she is ready to get her easter on - i love her sleepy eyes, i have been told mine look the same ;)

reynolds enjoyed her book the mostkate with a mouthful of jellybeans - about 5 minutes later they all came spilling out onto the carpet - very nicejane, looking sweet and innocent - we all know better ;) looks like she was enjoying her own share of the candycan you see the girls in their easter dresses on the other side of the glass? they were so cute. kate followed jane around everywhere she went. i think she has found her best cousin :)here is kate "holding" her bouquet of daffodilsthe fam

we went to weston's parents for 2nd dinner (love that!) and catching up. trent, jess, and ali came over too, so it was really fun visiting with them. jessica is due in 2 weeks - i can't wait to meet and hold that little chick!i love this cute picture of ali and chris - they are both laughing and i'm sure chris was tickling miss ali - she loves her grandpathis is the day that kate fell in love with the pony - she would ride and make this "oooooh" sound, but as soon as the horse stopped rocking, she would stop singing. when you would get her going again, immediately she would start the accompaniment :) she got a rocking horse for christmas and since we got home sunday night, horse is one of her new favorite words.
